Ms. ZHAO graduated from the Electric Power Department of Tsinghua University, and after graduating there, she was selected as a teacher for the Tsinghua University.

 

She was selected to work at the Chinese Patent Office as a patent examiner for eight years, completing thousands of pieces of patent substantive examination. Then, she was further promoted into the authoritive Patent Reexamination Board of SIPO as a patent examiner for eight years, participating in more than five hundred pieces of patent reexamination or patent invalidation review cases.

 

She was admitted to the German Patent Office and German Patent Court to study several times.

 

She was appointed as the Secretary-General of the China Intellectual Property Society in 2002-2004, and during that time, she founded the prestigious Beijing Guowei IP Judicial Identification Center, and worked as the chief editor of a magazine "Intellectual Property", she used to evaluate, review, or even judge a large number of China national project on intellectual property research topics.

 

From 2004-2009 years, after she retired in honor, she was invited to be IP Senior Advisor for King & Wood Chinese Lawyers and Genuineways Law Firm.

 

From 2010-now, she was asked to found the Joyan Intellectual Property Office.

 

Ms. Zhao is honored to be a director of The National Copyright Association, a director of China Intellectual Property Research Association, a member of intellectual property advisory group of Lanzhou city, and a member of intellectual property advisory group of Bengbu city.
